Kitchen Ventilation Systems for Modular & Modern Kitchens

Astberg inline duct exhaust and fresh-air systems — for kitchens that stay hot no matter how powerful the chimney is. Astberg dealers for Purvanchal and Bihar, serving Lucknow, Varanasi and Prayagraj.

How an inline duct system pulls hot air out of a kitchen — and pushes fresh air back in.

Why your kitchen stays hot even with a powerful chimney

The chimney only captures what rises straight above the hob. It throws air out of the room, but nothing puts fresh air back in — so the kitchen goes into negative pressure and pulls hot air in through every door gap. A bigger chimney makes the suction worse, not the room cooler.

An inline duct system fixes the actual problem. A powerful fan sits inside the duct, pulling hot air out of the whole kitchen through ceiling diffusers, while a matched fresh-air unit pushes filtered outdoor air back in. Air is replaced, not just removed — and the fan noise stays up in the duct.

Chimney or exhaust fan alone

Removes air, replaces nothing

Captures only what rises straight above the hob. The kitchen goes negative-pressure, hot air is pulled in from elsewhere in the house, heat and smell settle in the room, and a wall-mounted fan sits right at ear level.

Inline duct ventilation system

Removes and replaces — a full air change

Stale hot air is drawn from the whole room through ceiling diffusers; a matched fresh-air fan supplies filtered outdoor air back in. Balanced pressure, faster cooling, smell contained to the kitchen, and the fan noise stays up in the duct.

Astberg kitchen ventilation systems — models, specifications & prices

Sized by kitchen area. Two kits pair the exhaust fan with a matched fresh-air fan for a fully balanced system; two are exhaust-only.

Planning a new modular kitchen? Plan the ventilation with it

The cheapest time to put ventilation in is before the false ceiling closes. Once the units and ceiling are finished, every duct route becomes a compromise.

1

Fix the duct route before the ceiling

A short, straight run to the outside wall performs far better than a long one with bends — and stays completely hidden.

2

Place diffusers where heat collects

Over the hob zone and the corners where hot air stalls — not wherever space is left over.

3

Size the fan to the finished kitchen

Floor area, ceiling height, duct length and hob load decide the model. We work it out from your drawing.

Kitchen ventilation — frequently asked questions

Why does my kitchen get so hot even with a powerful chimney?

A chimney only removes air — nothing puts air back in. The kitchen drops into negative pressure and the replacement air gets dragged in through door gaps and windows: hot outdoor air in summer, warm air from the rest of your home. A higher-suction chimney makes that worse, not better.

Does this replace my kitchen chimney?

No — they do different jobs. The chimney captures grease and smoke at the hob. The inline duct system handles the rest of the room: the heat, steam and smell that spread beyond the chimney’s reach, and the fresh air that has to come in to replace what goes out. Keep the chimney, add ventilation.

Which size do I need, and what does it cost?

50–170 sq ft takes the AEE-150 exhaust-only kit (Rs. 11,170); 100–140 sq ft with fresh air takes AEE-150 + AFV 19 DP; 200–300 sq ft takes the AEE-200; 200–250 sq ft with fresh air takes AEE-200 + AFV 75 (Rs. 46,195). Duct length matters as much as floor area, so we confirm the model on a site visit. Installation is quoted separately.

Can it be fitted in an existing kitchen, and do you work outside Gorakhpur?

Both existing and new modular kitchens — it is cheapest during a build, but retrofits are routine wherever there is a route to an outside wall, usually done in a day or two. We are an Astberg dealer for Purvanchal and Bihar, and supply and install in Lucknow, Varanasi and Prayagraj as well.
